AU GRES, Mich. (AP/WOOD) – A Michigan farming family has a little less wheat but a lot more to celebrate.

WNEM-TV reports Devin Huber and Lisa Marshall had been dating nearly three years when Huber decided to take to the skies to propose.

“MARRY ME” was cut into the wheat field at Huber’s family farm in Au Gres. Huber told 24 Hour News 8 it took him about a day to think about how he’d do it, but only about two hours to plow the message into the wheat stubble.

Huber enlisted the help of a friend for the plane ride, which took the couple over West Branch, where Marshall grew up. On the way back, the plane flew over Huber’s proposal.

Huber told WNEM-TV he got down on one knee and asked if Marshall would marry him. She said yes and a wedding is planned in August 2017.
