VANCOUVER, Wash. (KOIN) – A man accused of impersonating a Vancouver police officer and attempting to kidnap a woman was arrested Saturday, officials said.

Shannon W. Stover, 46, was arrested after police executed a search warrant on the 14600 block of SE 8th Street, according to Vancouver Police Dept.

The victim reportedly told police Stover handcuffed her and put her in his car before she realized he was an impersonator. Police said Stover was involved in another incident just a day earlier, but it wasn’t reported.

He is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, kidnapping and 2 counts of rape.

Police believe there may be more victims in the case.
