SIOUX FALLS, SD (WCMH) — Several people are facing charges after a man pulled a gun on a restaurant employee before leading officers on a chase.

Just before 2am Sunday, officers responded to Lalibela’s restaurant in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, KELO-TV reports. An employee told officers they had tried to intervene in an argument between two people outside.

Police say Daniel Amador, 19, then pulled a gun and threatened the employee. The two people who were in the argument then left the area.

Responding officers then spotted a car matching the employee’s description, and officers chased after the vehicle. The driver did not stop.

The driver eventually lost control and crashed into a pergola. Amador and a juvenile male tried to flee on foot but were arrested.

Amador faces charges of aggravated assault and fleeing police. The young male was cited for fleeing police and violating curfew.

Police also arrested the driver, 24-year-old Theresa Highpipe, for aggravated eluding, DUI and driving without a driver’s license.
