COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Fire crews worked to contain a house fire in northeast Columbus early Monday morning.
Just before 1:30am crews were called to the scene of a house fire at 4508 Cliff Ridge Drive.

The home has extensive damage but a man and his two dogs escaped the residence safely.
The homeowner says he woke up to the smell of smoke, grabbed his two pups and left the home quickly.
Investigators are on scene still trying to determine the cause of the blaze.
