COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A man wanted for allegedly abducting and raping a 16-year-old Westerville girl was captured Friday by a U.S. Marshals task force.

Samuel Sharifi was indicted earlier this week on two counts of rape, one count of kidnapping and one count of gross sexual imposition.

According to the Marshals, Sharifi is accused of abducting and raping a 16-year-old girl from a Westerville home. The alleged attack happened in June.

Sharifi was tracked down to a home on the 4700 block of Parkmoor Drive in Westerville. The task force converged on the home after his last known vehicle was seen in the driveway.

Marshals arrested Sharifi without incident. He was taken to the Delaware County Jail.
