TALLAHASSEE, FL (CNN) — It’s lucky that a pair of Pennsylvania brothers won the Florida lottery, but one brother was a bit luckier than the other.
The Florida Lottery said James Stocklas, a Pennsylvania judge who just finished a month-long fishing trip in the Florida Keys, was the state’s Powerball winner on Wedneday, according to CNN. The 67-year-old judge won the $291 million jackpot.
His brother, Bob Stocklas, also played the lottery that day. He also won, but only earned $7. The Florida lottery presented both brothers with full-size winners checks.
According to CNN, James Stocklas had returned to work and was sitting in a restaurant. He checked the numbers on his phone and saw he had won. To celebrate, he bought breakfast for everyone in the restaurant and called his family to say he was going back to Florida.
