NEWPORT NEWS, VA (WAVY) – Police arrested former Virginia Tech quarterback Marcus Vick Sunday for assault and several other charges.

Online arrest records initially showed that Vick was charged with assault involving a hate crime.

However, Newport News Police spokesman Lou Thurston says Vick was arrested for assault on a law enforcement officer. He is also facing charges of obstruction of justice and resisting arrest.

Vick’s arrested happened in the 800 block of City Center Boulevard near Canon Boulevard. Police have yet to release more details about the incident that led to Vick’s arrest.What others are clicking on:
