MARION, Ohio (WCMH) – The Marion Police Department and Marion County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a burglary where a large amount of silver coins, gold coins, and silver bars were stolen in Marion County.
The theft occurred between June 22 and June 30, according to a press release.
Thursday, officers from the Marion City Police Department, Marion County Sheriff’s Office, and MARMET Drug Task Force executed a search warrant in the 1000 block of Jamaica Dr as part of the investigation.
Several of these coins have been located at precious metal businesses throughout central Ohio. Local law enforcement is asking for help from the public, pawn shops, and precious metal business in contacting law enforcement if any of the coins were bought or traded.
