GROVE CITY, OH (WCMH) — Two men have been caught following a series of reports about thefts from cars in the Pinnacle area.
Police received reports of several reports of thefts from cars, but were not able to locate anyone responsible for the early morning incidents.
Later, officers recognized someone involved in previous thefts and stopped them for a traffic violation. The man didn’t have any of the stolen items, so he was released.
Officers continued to monitor the man and witnessed him meet up with another person in a car. The two men then drove to an area close to where the thefts occurred earlier. Police saw the men collect stolen property that they had hidden earlier.
Police stopped the men and were able to return the stolen property.
