HARTFORD, CT (WCMH)–One of country music’s biggest stars got teary-eyed at a concert last week when she read a sign that a soldier was holding up.
Just as she started her nostalgic song “The House that Built Me,” Lambert noticed the man’s sign. She left the microphone and asked people to pass it up to her on stage.
“3 combat tours… your voice was the last thing I heard every night. Thank you,” the sign read.
Lambert tried to start the song again after a minute and couldn’t continue through her tears. It took the crowd’s insistence to keep her on track.
