GATLINBURG, Tenn. (WKRN) – The employers of both Justin and Stephanie Shults, who went missing after Tuesday’s terror attacks in Brussels, confirmed Saturday that the couple perished in the attack.
Justin’s employer, Clarcor, posted a statement online confirming his death in the airport bombing Tuesday. Shults was employed by the Franklin company since May 2012.
Mars, the company that Stephanie worked for, released a statement Saturday night confirming her death.
Today we learned from Stephanie’s family that she and her husband, Justin, were among those killed in the attack on the Brussels airport. We are mourning the loss of our colleague and friend. Our hearts and thoughts are with their families, and with all those who are suffering during this terrible time.
The couple has lived in Brussels since 2014.
Justin’s brother, Levi Sutton, said Saturday that Stephanie Shults’ vehicle was found at the airport and later posted a long tribute to his brother.
Just earlier this week his family was mistakenly informed that the missing couple had been found.
The terror attack in Brussels killed 31 and wounded over 270 others.
