DES MOINES, IA (WHO) An Iowa mother was arrested Monday after her two-year-old son was found home alone, sucking on a frozen chicken breast.

Police found the toddler in the backyard wearing nothing but a full and sagging diaper, and a small dog was there too, trying to jump up on the child to get his chicken.

Hallie Amick, 30, faces child endangerment charges and drug charges after police also found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the home.

One neighbor told police she had found the child in the middle of the street once. She said she would see the man and woman leave the home, but not with the child.

Amick was taken into custody and booked into the Polk County Jail where she later posted bond and was released.
