FOLSOM, CA (WCMH) — Michael’s mother says someone dumped the water out of her special-needs son’s water bottle and urinated in it in the locker room.
“I felt heartbroken…. cause I tried to make sense of the situation and everybody just seemed so dismissive,” Hilda Lozano told KTXL.
On Monday Michael, a freshman on the autism spectrum, called his mom and said he smelled the urine in his water bottle and when he poured it out, the water was yellow and foamy.
Lozano said when Michael ran into the school’s vice principal, she poured out the rest of the urine and washed out the water bottle.
“Their attitude was we’ll get around to it when we get to it..when we get out of our meetings…do stuff and we’ll address your concerns. That’s the perception we got… which I’m pretty sure if they had children in their school and that we special needs and someone had urinated in their kids’ water bottle, they would think it’s an urgent concern,” Michael’s father, Ricardo Lozano told KTXL.
The school district said they are investigating the incident.
