BUCKEYE LAKE, Ohio (WCMH) – Buckeye Lake businesses have a few remaining weeks left to submit economic injury worksheets. The forms must be submitted to the Ohio Development Services Agency in order for the state to meet a mid-August deadline to apply for a declaration of economic disaster.

A staff member in State Sentaor Jay Hottinger’s office reports just three business have applied.

An informational session was held in June on federal resources that might be helpful. Senator Rob Portman pulled together representatives of a variety of federal agencies.

“Provide low interest loans, help people be able to refinance some of their loans, help provide advice about how to get through this,” said Portman.

An application from each of the affected counties has been received.
