COLUMBUS (WCMH) — More than three million Tommee Tippee Sippee Cups are being recalled due to mold.

The CPSC says mold can develop on the removable, one-piece, white valve inside the spill-proof cups when it remains wet/moist or is infrequently cleaned.

The recall comes after the manufacturer, Mayborn USA, received more than 3,000 reports of mold forming in the cups. In 68 cases, that mold caused children to become sick with symtoms of diarrhea, vomiting and other symptoms associated with drinking mold.Consumers are being told to immediately stop using the recalled Sippee cups.RELATED: Parents outraged at moldy sippy cups, some say children have gotten sick

Only Tommee Tippee Sippee cups with a removable, one-piece white valve are included in this recall, including the following types:

  • First Sips Transition cup
  • Trainer Sippee cup
  • Sippee cup (including Cute Quips)
  • Sportee bottle
  • Insulated Swiggle/Sippee tumblers

The cups were sold nationwide at mass merchanside stores like CVS, Kohl’s, Meijer, Target, Walgreens, Walmart and Amazon for between $4 and $7.
