OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (WCMH) — Investigators say the Oklahoma woman admitted to killing her daughter because she thought the woman was possessed by the devil.

Police told KOCO, Geneva Gomez, 33, was found dead Saturday with a large cross/crucifix on her chest.

Court documents show Geneva’s mother, Juanita Gomez, said she was trying to remove Satan from her daughter’s body.

According to KOCO, Juanita told investigators that Geneva had been possessed last week and that she had forced a crucifix and a religious medallion down her daughter’s throat until blood came out of Geneva’s mouth.

After she died, Juanita placed Geneva’s body in the shape of a cross, according to court documents.

Juanita faces first degree murder charges.
