MOUNT VERNON (WCMH) — The Walmart at 1575 Coshocton Road in Mount Vernon was temporarily closed due to police activity Saturday.

Witnesses reported seeing multiple police vehicles in the parking lot after 11:00 a.m., and said that no one could get in or out of the store.

Police on scene said the incident was a misunderstanding, but did not release any other information.

The store has reopened.
