COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Every third Saturday in April music lovers celebrate Record Store Day.
The annual event was conceived in 2007 when independent record store owners established a day to celebrate their unique cultural offerings with the first official Record Store Day on April 19, 2008.
This year, record store enthusiasts have something else to get excited about. According to a report from NBC News, vinyl sales are are climbing which means there’s a market for those dusty disks in your basement, or maybe you can find that special record waiting for you in the stacks of an independent record store.
