Nearly 2 million pounds of ready-to-eat chicken recalled

WASHINGTON D.C. (NBC News) — The chicken is being recalled after concerns it might be under cooked and contain dangerous bacteria.

The chicken, with “Distributed by National Steak and Poultry” or “Hormel Natural Choice” labels, was produced between August 20 and November 30.

The USDA says consumers should throw away the product or return it to the place of purchase.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse health effects or illnesses due to consumption of any of the recalled products. Anyone concerned about a health effect should contact a healthcare provider, according to the USDA.
