DRUMMONDS, TN (WCMH) — A Tennessee Sheriff’s office says a dispute between two neighbors led to a backhoe being run through one of their homes.

It started with reports of shots fired on Friday. John Higdon, 48, told deputies that he started shooting at multiple people in the woods who were running and hiding while wearing ghillie suits, WMC reported.

A ghillie suit is a type of camouflage that is made to blend in with the surroundings.

After deputies left, more shots were allegedly fired. Higdon was then arrested and charged with reckless endangerment.

While Higdon was in jail, police say his neighbor, Edgar McClellan took a backhoe and knocked down Higdon’s house.

McClellan was then arrested and charged with trespassing and felony vandalism.

“This man over here decides come 2 o’clock in the morning. Comes over at 2 o’clock in the morning with a dozer a tractor and starts pushing the house down,” said Sammy Higdon, John’s brother.

Sammy denied that John Higdon and McClellan had any sort of ongoing feud. “Don’t know why. Never had a beef with him. No explanation. My Dad built this house,” he said.
