NEWARK, Ohio (WCMH)– Police are searching for a man driving a truck that was seen picking up a teenager in Newark today.
The teen, 19, has been located. Detectives are still continuing to investigate this incident, Newark police said.
Witnesses said an older man driving a truck picked up a teenage girl on Everett Avenue between 11:30am and noon Thursday.
Police said minutes prior, the same man stopped another teenage female, asked for directions, and asked if she wanted a ride.
The girl declined and walked away from the vehicle.
Later, the same truck was seen stopping another girl.
According to witnesses, the female got into the truck and it left the area.
The suspect is described as an older male, gray hair and mustache, and was driving a silver or grey Ford F150 pickup truck with dark or tinted windows, and a cap.
