NEWARK (WCMH)–The Delaware County Prosecutor says a Newark woman is being charged in the death of her 2-month-old son.

Prosecutor Carol O’Brien said Danielle Dush’s drug use and the practice of co-sleeping led to the death of the boy. O’Brien’s office did not say exactly how the boy died. Investigators found methamphetamine and alprazolam (Xanax) in Dush’s system.

The Licking County prosecutor did not take this case because of a conflict of interest.

Dush was charged with involuntary manslaughter (F1), endangering children (F3), drug abuse, (F5), and drug abuse (M1).

Dush pleaded not guilty to all charges.
