NEW YORK (WCMH)–New York Rangers winner Mats Zuccarello scored both on and off the ice during his team’s 2-1 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Monday.

A young fan named Vinny Mutone held up a sign during warmups that read, “Zucc!! If you give me your stick she’ll go to prom with me!!”

Not only did Zuccarello give Vinny his stick before the game. He also signed it with the message, “Have fun at prom! Treat her right” and put his signature on Mutone’s sign as well.

Zuccarello scored his 21st goal of the season on Monday against the Jackets at Madison Square Garden.
