GROVE CITY, OHIO (WCMH) — A moving memorial that honors veterans killed in the war in Iraq and Afghanistan made its way to Grove City Friday night.

The Ohio Flags of Honor was founded by Gino Zimmer. His son was killed in Iraq in 2004.

The display features hundreds of flags representing soldiers from Ohio that paid the ultimate price.

Michelle Riley’s son can be found on one flag. She lost him in Afghanistan.

“I see veterans out here,” said Riley. “Every time we see them, they all rock those hats with army veteran. We always thank them for their service. The more we do that, the stronger we are as a country.”
