COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Ohio Gov. John Kasich is firing back at claims by the Donald Trump campaign that the upcoming election is “rigged.”
Kasich, a Republican, appeared on “CBS This Morning” Wednessday to talk about the economic concerns at stake in this year’s election.
“Look, to say that elections are rigged and all these votes are stolen – that’s like saying we never landed on the moon, frankly,” Gov. Kasich said on the program.
“The problem is it does create doubt in people’s minds,” Kasich added. “And I worry about 25 percent of Americans who may say when an election is over, it was stolen. That is a big, fat joke.”
The Republican has notoriously not supported GOP nominee Donald Trump throughout his primary race against him and has not endorsed him in the general election. He also says he’s not voting for Hillary Clinton.
