UPDATE: The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office said Shawn Gill was apprehended in Washington County on Nov. 21. He is currently being held pending formal charges.

MORGAN COUNTY, OH (WCMH) – Police are looking for an inmate who walked away from a community service project in Morgan County.

According to the Morgan County Sheriff’s office, Shawn Anthony Gill was working in Chesterhill at the Multicultural Society building and left to use the restroom around 2:30pm Friday.

When he did not return after 30 minutes, the supervisor contacted the SEPTA correctional facility who then contacted the Sheriff’s office.

Gill was sentenced to SEPTA from Washington County for drug trafficking.

He may have children in Washington and Fairfield Counties.

Gill is described as a white male standing six feet tall and weighing 200 pounds. He had blue eyes and a shaved head.
