COLUMBUS (WCMH) – Due to uncertainty of federal funding, the Ohio National Guard has decided to cancel drills that had been scheduled for this weekend.

The move affects more than 70 units across the state.

The Ohio National Guard said:

This decision was made in the best interest of the more than 7,500 Soldiers and Airmen who must travel, many of them for several hours, to report to their drill home locations.

This cancellation will not affect our qualifications to do our missions. Ohio National Guard has and will always stand ready to support our Federal, State and Community missions.
