CLEVELAND, OH (WCMH) – The search is still on for the man accused of murdering an elderly Cleveland man and then posting it on facebook. Authorities said Robert Godwin was gunned down by Steven Stephens Sunday afternoon.  Angela Small said she has two children by Godwin.

“If y’all are hiding him turn him in. Look at his babies. They don’t have a daddy,” Small sobbed.

She said now all they have are pictures and the horrific image of Godwin’s murder. It’s been posted and shared all over facebook. Small said sadly her children has seen it.

“I’ve been trying to tell people to take the stuff down out of respect for his family. For respect for his kids. For them to have to look at that they father already gone, y’all don’t need to hurt them no more,” Small said.

Cleveland police said Stephens is still on the run. They said he was last seen driving a white ford fusion with Ohio temporary tags E363630.

Ardella Driscoll lives just right across the street from where Godwin was killed.  She heard the gunshots and looked outside to see what was going on.

“I started screaming because I looked over and the sun was shining on this man. He had blood comin’ from him. He wasn’t moving so I panicked and started screaming and hollering,” Driscoll said.

Small is praying Stephens gets caught soon.

“This man that they still ain’t caught. He took someone precious from us. Look at his kids. They’re only 8 and this one going to be 11 in three days,” said Small.

Authorities are offering a $50,000 reward for information that will lead to Stephen’s arrest.
