Ohio State AD to be named to CFP selection committee, reports say

COLUMBUS (WCMH) – Ohio State Athletic director Gene Smith is expected to be selected to the College Football Playoff selection committee, according to reports.

Sources tell ESPN that Smith is expected to fill the role vacated by Wisconsin’s Barry Alvarez.

Two other members’ terms are also expiring.

Gene Smith was named Ohio State’s Athletic Director in 2005.
