COLUMBUS (WCMH) — The fun continues at the Ohio State Fair and NBC4 is proud to bring you NBC4 Family Value Day.

The special deals continue until 6pm Monday evening. Children 12 and under are free.  Adults admission is just $8. Ride wristbands are 2 for 1 until 6pm.

Cincinnati resident Ivory Durand brought her family to the state fair.  She says, “We come all the way from Cincinnati and I look forward to this every year because I love to come and eat, and ride, and bring my grand baby and we just enjoy the family day.

Ivory and her grand daughter spent time with the NBC4 crew.  The NBC4 team was greeting fair attendees at the Cardinal Gate.

Durand tells NBC4 she wanted some funnel cake and other great fair food while 10-year-old Aniya already knew the rides she wanted to hop on.  Aniya explains,  “The one where you like spin around and there is one that it’s like a roller coaster, but it goes circle circle.”

NBC4 even met one family who lives 10,000 miles away! The Beards are visiting from Melbourne, Australia.

Cooper Beard says, “We have some friends in Ohio that we usually stay with when we come here for holidays so we decided this year we might check out the Ohio State Fair.”

Cooper and his family spent the day taking it all in.  They rode rides and were intrigued by the food- anything you can imagine fried or on a stick.

Cooper’s mom, Jo, adds, “We were warned there would be lots of greasy food, but to enjoy it. So we’ll see how we go.”

This is a memory this family won’t soon forget!  Jo Beard explains, “It’s amazing. It’s full on. So much for the families and it’s great to see everyone having a blast.”
