COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Ohio State is proposing higher ticket prices for the 2017 football season.

According to a proposal before the Board of Trustees, there will be four pricing tiers for 2017 games.

Army and University of Nevada, Las Vegas are considered Tier 1 at $70 and $65, respectively.. Illinois and Maryland will be Tier 2 at $80. Penn State will be Tier 3 at $140.

In 2016, Bowling Green and Tulsa were $70, Rutgers and Indiana were $80, Northwestern was $90, Nebraska is $135 and $195 for Michigan.

Buying each ticket individually would cost $815, up from $720 during the 2016 season.

Season tickets will cost $695 for reserved seats and $845 for box or club seats.

The price of student tickets remains unchanged at $34 per game. The university says it will maintain that price through the 2020 season.

Ohio State introduced the tiered pricing structure for the 2013 season. The university says the idea is used at athletic programs across the country.
