COLUMBUS (WCMH)–Alabama and Clemson lead the preseason college football Coaches Poll, with the Ohio State Buckeyes sitting in fifth place.

The Crimson Tide had 55 first-place votes, with 1,585 points. Clemson had 1,524.

Oklahoma and Florida State came in at No. 3 and 4, respectively.

The Buckeyes got 1,321 points and zero first-place votes.

The SEC led all conferences with six Top 25 teams in all.

OSU opens its 2016 season Sept. 3 against Bowling Green.
