LOUISVILLE (WCMH)–A Dayton woman was struck by a train and killed Saturday evening while she and her boyfriend went looking for an urban legend.

WAVE reports that 26-year-old Roquel Bane and her boyfriend were in Louisville to go on a haunted tour. They decided to find the Goatman, otherwise known as the Pope Lick Monster, who reportedly lives beneath a Norfolk Southern Railway trestle over Pope Lick Creek.

According to the coroner, Bain and her boyfriend made their way to the tracks and realized a train was coming their way and they wouldn’t be able to retreat to safety in time. . Bain’s boyfriend told the coroner that he told her to hang off the sides of the trestle, but she was not fast enough. She was hit by the train and fell about 100 feet to the ground.
