DENNISON, OH (WCMH) – A woman was stabbed to death in her bed in Tuscarawas County, now the search is on for the person who did it.
It happened around 4:10am Thursday in a mobile home in Midvale Estates, a small town east of New Philadelphia.
The victim was identified as 39-year-old Darlene Renner. A 17-year-old boy was also home when it happened and called 911, according to WEWS-TV.
“I think he killed my dad’s girlfriend and he was coming at me,” the boy told a 911 dispatcher. The 17-year-old told police he awoke to screams, loaded his shotgun and found an intruder on top his dad’s girlfriend in his bedroom.
After a struggle, the intruder ran from the trailer, and escaped in a vehicle.
Midvale is a small village, with a population of 754. The Sheriff’s Office couldn’t think of the last time there was a murder in the area.
