One dead, three others hospitalized after two-vehicle crash in Marion

MARION (WCMH) — Passenger Anthony Denny, 28, died in result of a crash on Friday at 10:20 am on Center St. between Lincoln Ave. and Reed Ave. in Marion.

According to the Marion post, Timothy Roll, 45 was driving a 2002 blue Dodge Dakota traveling west with passengers Frederic Brooks, 41, and Denny. At the same time, a 2002 silver Dodge Durango traveling east, driven by Rodney Bosse, 68, suddenly veered left into the lane of the Dakota, resulting in a head-on collision. The impact forced the Dakota onto the tree-lawn, while the Durango rotated to the left and hit an Ohio Edison utility pole, both on the north side of Center St.

Roll, who was driving the Dakota, was transferred to Marion General Hospital along with Brooks and Bosse. Denny was pronounced dead on the scene by Deputy Coroner Dr. M. Davis.

At this point, no charges have been filed and the crash is still under investigation by troopers from the Marion Post. What others are clicking on:
