COLUMBUS, OH (WCMH) – One person is in critical condition after a shooting in west Columbus.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Sullivant Avenue and Highland Avenue around 1:30am Sunday on the report of a shooting.
According to police, the victim pulled into the Sunoco Gas Station at 2281 Sullivant Avenue. He was then approached by three men. One of the men showed a hand gun and demanded the victim’s property.
The victim, followed by the suspects, ran into the gas station and then back out. He then fled towards Highland Avenue.
One of the suspects shot the victim in the back, and then they took his necklaces and fled.
According to Columbus Police, the victim was transported to Grant Medical Center in critical condition.
The suspects are all described as light-skinned black males in their twenties. They are believed to be between 5’6″ and 5’8″ and have medium builds.
