ROSS CO., OH (WCMH) — On Sunday, the Paint Valley community honored two young people who died recently in separate car crashes.

Penny Clifford, who hosted the prayer rally on Sunday, says the community event honored 17-year-old Annika Miller and 2015 graduate Chris Fellenstein, as well as others lost through recent years.

The Ross County Sheriff’s Office says Miller was on her way to school when she was in a single-car crash in the area of Upper Twin Road. The accident remains under investigation.

Clifford tells NBC4 that Fellenstein was involved in a crash on Blain Highway.

The prayer rally included speeches from pastors, members of the community and a talk about safe driving from the Ross County Sheriff.

Clifford says several hundred people were in attendance to support each other.

Clifford says that school will be cancelled on Wednesday for a memorial service for Miller at 1 p.m.
