Parking for Garth Brooks concerts and OSU Spring Game

COLUMBUS (WCMH) – It’s going to be a busy weekend in and around Ohio State’s campus. Here’s what you need to know about traffic and parking.

Garth Brooks Concert – Garth Brooks plays three shows this weekend at the Schottenstein Center, starting Friday at 7pm, Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 7:30pm. Doors open 90 minutes before the event.


Traffic from the south on S.R. 315 should take the Ackerman Road exit, turn right onto Ackerman, right onto Fred Taylor Drive and follow parking officers’ directions for parking.

Traffic from the north should take the Ackerman road exit and turn left onto Ackerman Road, right onto Fred Taylor drive and follow the officers’ directions.

Free parking is available in the Buckeye lots near the baseball stadium for all concerts. Paid parking is available at the Fawcett Center and public lots south of Lane Avenue and near St. John Arena for $5.

All public lots are free on Saturday.

Spring Game – The 2016 Spring Game kicks off at 1:30pm Saturday.

All day of game lots are available for free parking, with the exception of the west stadium lot. That lot is available to permit holders only.

Parking options include the west campus lots west of S.R. 315, the Buckeye lots near the baseball stadium, the Fawcett Center and High Street parking garages.

Disability parking is available for free in the north St. John Arena lot. An accessible shuttle will run between that lot and the east side of Ohio Stadium.

A shuttle will be in continuous operation from 9am until 1 hour after the game from the west campus parking lots. Drop-off is in front of the Sission Hall footbridge immediately west of the stadium.

COTA also provides a game day shuttle between the Ohio Expo Center and the OSU campus.

Taxi service is available on Lane Avenue near Riverwatch Tower.

Ridesharing services Uber and Lyft will also be in operation. Arrange pick-ups through the service’s app.

Other events taking place on campus this weekend include a football coaches clinic, NCAA Men’s Gymnastics national championships, women’s tennis, baseball, women’s golf, USA Boys Gymnastics Regional, men’s lacrosse and men’s volleyball.What others are clicking on:
