LAKE COUNTY, OH (WCMH) – Firefighters in Lake County jumped into action yesterday after a dog became stranded in a frozen creek.

It happened in North Perry Village, about 40 miles northeast of Cleveland.

According to the Perry Joint Fire District, firefighters along with police and Sheriff’s deputies pulled the bull mastiff from the creek.

Photos posted by the fire department show rescuers in cold weather gear getting the dog out of the water, placing him on a stretcher and putting him in the back of a truck to get warm.
