A two-year-old gelding in Australia has been named Horsey McHorseface, according to CNN.
The funny name is a reference to a poll in England to name a $300 million polar research ship–the leading name in the poll is Boaty McBoatface.
The horse is New Zealand-bred and will race in Australia next month. Horse owner Joe Rosetti came up with the idea and convinced his co-owner, Bjorn Baker, to keep the name.
Racing manager Jake Bruce told CNN that Horsey McHorseface has “as good a chance as any to make it.”
“We had a laugh about it in the office and thought, ‘Hey, why not’,” Bruce told CNN. “Joe’s a good bloke and he’s a good horse — we just thought it would be a good fit.”
