COLUMBUS (WCMH) — The Pokemon Go craze has fans out and about in an attempt to “catch ’em all,” but in some situations, they’re searching in some not so safe spots.

“It’s not normal to see people wandering around certain locations. They may be called in as a suspicious person,” said Major Jim Gilbert of the Franklin Country Sheriff’s Office.

AEP Ohio has had trouble themselves – and worries that the consequences could be worse than not catching the next Pokemon.

“We’ve heard that (people) are climbing fences and going out to substations in our buldings,” said AEP spokesperson Fay White. “Any of our equipment can have voltage, which is very dangerous and could have potential for injury or even death.”
