HUDSON, NY (NEWS10) – Police responded to a call that a woman “froze to death” in her car Friday morning.
The thing is, the woman wasn’t real.
Police say as rescuers were breaking into the vehicle, they realized the “woman” was a life-sized mannequin used in CPR training.
The car’s owner works for a company that makes training aides for the medical community.
“It is my understanding that the owner was incredulous that we took action in this matter,” Chief Edward Moore said. “He apparently was quite vocal and vulgar to my Sergeant.”
Police say if you leave a life-like mannequin inside your car and fail to let them know, they will break your car window.
No charges were filed.
