COLUMBUS (WCMH) – An early morning chase ended Tuesday near a west side elementary school.
It started around 4:30am Tuesday while a Franklin County Sheriff’s deputy was taking a report about an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
According to deputies on the scene, the driver took off during a traffic stop near Murray Hill and West Broad.
The chase ended on Rea Avenue, in a field near West Mound Elementary, with the driver crashing into a tree.
Police took the driver into custody and said that two other people bailed from the vehicle at some point during the chase.
