GAHANNA, OH (WCMH) — A central Ohio task force will hold a sobriety checkpoint tonight.

The Franklin County DUI Task Force announced the checkpoint at Hamilton road (SR 317) just south of Havens Corners Road in the city of Gahanna. Police will be stopping vehicles between 8pm tonight and 2am Saturday.

The task force, which includes the central Ohio law enforcement agencies, Franklin County agencies and MADD, encourage those who will be consuming alcohol to plan for a designated driver or make other arrangements.

Sobriety checkpoints are legal in Ohio as long as public notice is given that the checkpoint will be established.What others are clicking on:
