SALINA, Kan. (WCMH)–A donut shop owner was arrested after allegedly driving his SUV through a line of people in a turf dispute with another shop.

Police told the Salina Post that on Thursday, a man drove into the parking lot and towards a table where Hurts Donuts of Wichita was selling boxes of donuts.

Several people, including a child, had to jump out of the vehicle’s path. The driver reportedly bumped into the table, then backed away and drove off. No one was injured in the incident and none of the donuts were damaged.

The driver was identified as Hong Kim, the co-owner of Carol Lee Donuts in Salina. Kim was arrested on four felony counts of aggravated assault and one count of reckless driving.

The Salina Journal reported that Kim confronted Hurts Donut employees about stealing business from him in the past. The two shops are about 90 miles from one another.

A portion of the proceeds from Thursday’s sale went to Relay for Life.

Hurts Donut posted about their Salina appearance on Facebook before the incident.
