HARLINGEN, TX (WCMH) — A man in Texas has been arrested and charged with making terroristic threats, after police said he threatened to “purge” Pokemon Go players.

According to the Harlingen Police Department, on July 15, officers were made aware of a Facebook post by a Nathan Cerda, where he threatened to harm people attending a Pokemon Go event with modified paint ball games.

Police said the man also threatened people “not to be walking around,” because he and his friends were going to “purge” those who participated.

After investigating the threat, police said there was credibility to the post and issued a felony warrant for Cerda for making terroristic threats.

Cerda was arrested July 16 on the charges and police continue to investigate.
