COLUMBUS (WCMH) – Police say a 58-year-old man was found dead late Sunday night in the parking lot of a west Columbus apartment complex after an apparent robbery.

Police say the body of Gregory S. Fanning was found lying in a parking lot in the area of 656 Bankview Drive shortly after 11pm Sunday.

Investigators said the man suffered a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
