Police Memorial vandalized in Morrow County

MORROW COUNTY, OH (WCMH) — The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office shared a photo of vandalism on Facebook in an attempt to find whoever is responsible.

Don Faulds is a former Galion City Council President. He and other area residents who NBC4 spoke with say a lack of respect has clearly been demonstrated.

“I think it’s the sign of the community. There’s no respect for the community as a whole from the administration on all the way down to the local activities within the community,” said Faulds.

According to Galion Police the same memorial was also vandalized back in August 2014.

Police also say a Columbus business has offered to clean off the graffiti for free.

Authorities from both the Crawford County and Morrow County Sheriffs Offices as well as the Galion Police Department are asking for the public to contact authorities with any tips.

You can contact the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office, Galion P.D. or the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office with information. You will remain anonymous.
