CHILLICOTHE, OH (WCMH) — Chillicothe Police say no injuries were reported after a SWAT situation on Eastern Avenue Thursday.
It started around 4pm when officers went to an address in the 500 block of Eastern Ave. to arrest Marcus Horsely for parole-violation.
Horsely refused to come out of the home and after hours of negotiating the front door was breached and tear-gas was thrown inside.
Officers entered the home at that time and brought five people out.
“From what I’d heard and from the people at the scene, he just didn’t want to go back to jail,” said Chief Keith Washburn. ” He thought we’d leave if he held up,we would go away and that’s not the case.”
Horsely was arrested as well as two other men inside who had warrants for their arrest. Two others were charged with obstructing justice.
