COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Police say a person of interest in connection with a car break-in and theft has provided police with a photo by allegedly taking a selfie with a phone that was reported stolen.
A suspect broke into someone’s car in Franklinton in early September, according to police. The passenger rear window was smashed in. Credit cards and a cell phone were stolen from the vehicle.
On October 14, police posted on Facebook that the person of interest had provided them with a ‘picture-perfect image of himself’ after he used the stolen phone to take a selfie.
Police are now asking that anyone with information that could identify the man contact police.
